T.C. Williams Teachers Participate in Communication Tools Work Session

On Thursday, Oct. 21, a group of 12 T.C. Williams and Minnie Howard teachers participated in an all-day collaborative work session to investigate communication tools for their classrooms. The teachers are part of a professional development project known as the Room 21 Project.

The group will continue to collaborate throughout the school year, looking at various technologies to integrate and enhance the learning and teaching experience. The teachers are Tiffany Barner, Teresa Chavis, Trisha Christopher, Lisa Coughlin, Antoinette Dempsey, Daniel Foreman, Kimberly Gubser, Ben Hammond, Viridiana Magee, Tanja Mayer-Harding, Anna Riabtsev, Nicola Ross and Isaac Schloss.

The project is led by the high-school technology integration specialists.

Two ACPS "modified calendar" schools - Mount Vernon Community School and Samuel W. Tucker Elementary School - offer three intersessions throughout the school year, featuring a wide selection of both remedial and special-interest classes.
