The Alexandria Commission for the Arts and City of Alexandria Office of the Arts are seeking nominations for the 2012 Alex Arts Awards, which promote interest and involvement in the arts by recognizing those who have excelled over the past year in their contributions to the arts in Alexandria. The nomination deadline is Friday, Feb. 10.
The program recognizes individuals, organizations, schools and businesses that have made exceptional contributions to cultural life in the City of Alexandria. All nominations must be submitted to the Office of the Arts at the Durant Arts Center, 1605 Cameron St., Alexandria, Va., by 5 p.m. on Feb. 10. Nominations may be submitted online at http://survey.alexandriava.gov/s3/AlexAwards.
