2011-2012 Superintendent's Student Achievement Advisory Committee

The Superintendent's Advisory Committees on African-American Student Achievement and Latino Student Achievement were established to advance and increase the educational opportunities that ensure a superior education for all students in general and African-American and Latino students in particular.

The African-American and Latino Student Achievement Advisory Committees have been restructured and will become one committee, The Student Achievement Advisory Committee. SAAC will work to ensure equity for all students by providing input to the Superintendent on relevant issues that impact student achievement. The Student Achievement Advisory Committee will also review the on-going progress and accomplishments of the goals of the Alexandria City Public Schools' 2010-2015 Division Plan.

The Superintendent invites parents, students and community members to apply for an appointment to the Student Achievement Advisory Committee for the 2011-2012 school year. Applications are due by Friday, October 21, 2011.
